I am a new Christian and am now reading the Bible for the first time. I have been trying to articulate my own feelings after reading Psalm 119 last month, but I think you really captured it. What we feed ourselves is what we become...and what better to feed on than God's Word. I think this verse from Psalm 1 also illustrates it...

Ps 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night (NIV)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7717431580924129078.post-82838443336870671802007-04-19T03:16:00.000+09:002007-04-19T03:16:00.000+09:00Hi Sassie,It's Pamela from the Ross Blog:)Thanks f...Hi Sassie,
It's Pamela from the Ross Blog:)
Thanks for helping me out yesterday. Between you and Barbara in Washington, I'm up and running. (Except I haven't written anything:) I absolutely love your blog. As I was reading your post I realized I was humming a song from a Christian radio station. I don't know who it's by but it's about looking at another person and seeing them covered w/ the finger prints of God. You are... You are!
You've made my heart smile,
PamelaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7717431580924129078.post-62863448499565657992007-04-18T23:18:00.000+09:002007-04-18T23:18:00.000+09:00worshipping and praise is not something only for w...worshipping and praise is not something only for while at church, but something that is a part of who you are. the most intimate relationship is one with our maker, God. someone cannot just decide one day that they want a relationship and the next day they don't. it doesn't work that way in life nor with Christ.mandy falgouthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14507108282604028195noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7717431580924129078.post-39146428113216478362007-04-16T04:28:00.000+09:002007-04-16T04:28:00.000+09:00Love love LOVED this post! My thought here is, how can we make sure that young Christians internalize the Bible? We do that just like your mentors here do- lead by example and take an interest in youth. That passion is very effective.
Slightly unrelated note: Mormon missionaries knocked on my door yesterday. I made up my mind to be polite because, just as telemarketers, they are doing a job. He said the Bible predicts more prophets still to come. I didn't refute this but replied, as a Baptist, I don't accept any other book except the Bible as God's Word. I went on to point out the Pearl of Great Price and The Book of Mormon as examples. They were impressed, I think, that I was actually informed enough to make a response.Danifestohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01888720794784878704noreply@blogger.com
